Artliner Trackpads are our original road surface protective rubber Trackpads. They provide stability of drive and are easy to mount on and to take off from the steel shoe plates, and are available in bolt-on type for those with pre-drilled bolt holes, and clip-on for those without them.
Its product range corresponds with more than 1000 models of construction equipment from over 40 manufacturers and is workable with the shoe width of 200 mm to 800 mm.
When a heavy crawler vehicle changes direction, its turning creates severe lateral warping stress and causes damage to the road surface. The dispersion of such strains from the metal shoe plate is the central concept of Artliner structural design. The protective rubber firmly bonds itself to the metal core, which in turn provides a mechanism for its fixture onto the shoe plate.
Please, use an impact wrench for mounting Trackpads.
Artliner Trackpads are made of anti-wear/cut-resistant rubber compound and can fit the individual steel shoe plates.
The bolt-on type Artliner Trackpads have screw studs projecting from their bottom. When mounting the Artliner bolt-on pads onto the track shoe plates, the threaded studs slide into the pre-drilled holes of the steel shoe and come out from behind. Then put on spring washers over the threaded studs that come out from the backside of the track shoe plates, then screw on the nuts. Before purchase, please, make sure that the pre-drilled holes on the shoe plates line up with the bolt studs. The bolt holes of the shoe need to be larger than the diameter of the bolt studs by 2 mm. A dimension worksheet for a track shoe plate is available.
In pursuit of safety and efficiency of work, Single-Hook Type has done away with the fastening of nuts on the inner side (on the vehicle body side).
With a hooking clip on one end and the regular fastening of nuts on the other, it is possible to install the pads in half the previous time.
Hook the clip end of the pad onto the inner side (machine body side) of the steel shoe plate, then fasten the nuts on the bolt studs on the other end (on the outer side).
Even if there are no pre-drilled holes on the track shoe plates, it is still possible to mount and install our Trackpads. We have Clip-On type Trackpads that attach themselves onto track shoe plates by firmly gripping them with our genuine metal brackets (clips).
After placing a Clip-On pad onto a track shoe plate, clamp the plate with two metal brackets and screw in the bolts to fasten them. Often a clip is already attached to one side when the Trackpads arrive. So hook one end of the Trackpad with the clip that is already attached. Then fasten the other end with a closing bracket.

Superior grip and traction on the snow, hard-compacted snow, and the freezing road surfaces!!
Stable traveling performance!!
Support for a safe work environment!!
Komatsu and Art Japan Co., Ltd. jointly developed the Winter Pad.
Using two layers of rubber with differing hardness, Winter Pad provides superior traction. Its original tread patterns provide better drainage on the contact surface.
The Winter Pad has 1.8 times as much traction compared to our regular Trackpads. It reduces skidding on the snow, hard-compacted snow, and the freezing road surfaces. Crawler vehicles can travel better in a safe work environment.
Clip-On on one end, and Bolt-On on the other.
It only takes one person to install.
CAUTIONS
V Pads provide good traction, improved safety, manageability, and stability on mountainous roads with inclination.
V Pads have a superior grip on roads with an inclination as on farms and forests. They can also work well in the snow. On paved roadways, they enable the vehicles to spin at lower speeds very efficiently and reduce its chassis noise during jobs.
